I'd like to create this topic in order to help whichever developers are focused or assisting on the web content. Since the website is still young and still being developed, many of these suggestions will probably be addressed in the near future.

To Posters:

Please stay on topic, and merely suggest something you would like to see on the website. (Whether you believe it to be in the works or not)

To Developers:

We're simply throwing out suggestions that you probably already have on the "To Do List", but if we happen to suggest something helpful, then we all win. :D

To Trolls:

No entries please.

  • Among the many things i am sure that players would like added, just thought I would mention a "Clan discussions and Recruitment" type of section.
At this point just for players who are interested in SoDA and would like to start becoming acquainted with other SoDA hopefuls. Many people have small gaming communities who play other games that are being discussed in these forums.

My opinion: Being able to connect this early before the SoDA beta starts would create a stronger community of players who have already created experiences with other SoDA fans and hopefully create synergy in the beta testing.
  • Avatars / signatures
Im just a huge art fan, so personal expressions through sigs and avatars is always fun for me. Although, it is not a pressing matter. (If signatures are to be enabled at all)

I'd like to see a challenges/competition page or the like. Doesn't have to be big stuff, but maybe things like concept design for a hero, or a map design or even the story for a scenario. Just a thought :)

I think there is a typo in the introductory paragraph of the "What is so unique about this Game?" section on the introduction page, it's written there that:-

"You can earn rewards for yourself and your clan, climbs the ranks, and watch and share your most glorious replays online."

I think that should be climb the ranks, not climbs the ranks.

Thank you Nagash for mentioning it; good find! This typo has been fixed.

I think a Search function is kind of necessary to cut down on duplicate threads, especially once the community starts to grow.  I'm not sure why the site doesn't have one yet.  Maybe you do and I'm just blind?

I would like to be able to upload my own avatar. It is too confusing to be a dragon in one forum and a Sith Lord in another. Any plans to add this?

Hi Centurion,

Your proposition about a "Clan discussions and Recruitment" forum is very interesting. We will keep it in mind while working on future improvements.

Thank you for your interest for Sins of a Dark Age!
Cheers.

Hi Centurion,

Forum avatars can be chosen now! You can access your profile while being logged in, and click on the "Change" link below your current empty photo.

You may have to do a "refresh" of the profile page to get the good CSS/styling.

Enjoy!

Hi Shaze,

The "Search" feature is in the list of future possible improvements. This is indeed a useful feature to look for content, because the Sins of a Dark Age Community and forums are growing every day!

In the meantime, you can post new ideas in topics; if there is a need to merge topics, we can do it without "damaging" the posts' content :)

We will keep you informed about future improvements through the forums.

Thank you!

Hi everybody,

In addition to specific answers that have already been given:
A big "Thank you" for all your very interesting propositions! Your ideas are great; do not hesitate to continue this topic by telling us what you would like to see in your Sins of a Dark Age website.

Thanks :)

I would like to see signatures as well. Also we need more Forum avatars, or preferably the ability to add custom ones.

Is the "Community" on the home page not a bit redundant? It just links to the forums and media.
Unless you plan to add to the Community section or get rid of the other two.

"There will be much more later."

That (no offense) is kind of a redundant phrase.  We all know that there is more to come.  As more stuff is revealed, the pages will fill up with lore and all the other goodies we expect from Ironclad. :)   Heck, on the Game page, of the 5 or 6 links, I think only two are actually links.

I second the signature idea, though.  I can think of good quotes to put in something like that.

Hi EdenSakata,

Thank you for your idea :)
For the moment, you can be informed about the latest News, by following the "News" forum (this is a button on the top right, under the search box).
