Another quite unique race idea that isnt the normal for fantasy that could fit the lore and setting pretty well!

Also with the demon race it's been done, however it's been done poorly. there are no blood corpses impaled on spikes. The idea of the demon race that other games have done is very mild and tamed. Where's the suffering? Where's the blood? Where's the pain and fear? I want a demon race that the units sever the limbs off thier enemies and beat them to a pulp, then they rip apart the corpses to create some sort of ritual to make it rain fire on a innocent village.

As for the swamp i was thinking maybe mayan architechure, and straw huts, with poisons and reptiles.

And yes the Undead do focus on death and killing but that is the traditional form of them, I was thinking outside the box and turning stuff on it's head so the Undead are somehow the "good" guys and the humans are the "bad" guys.

Well...I guess you are right. We haven't seen them impaling people with blood dripping down and all that jazz but don't forget that game developers have to submit their games for certification and (depending where they want to release the game) certain countries wont allow specific content (For example Germany banned Left 4 Dead because of the zombie in a cop uniform, Karthus in LoL had to be redesigned because they are not allowed to show skeletons etc)

I'd actually would like to see some of the races of the Age of Wonders game, like their Frostlings, Tigrans, Archons and Draconians. (Great game b.t.w., as it is still possible for one of the 'good' races to ally with an 'evil' one occasionally. And it at least classifies Humans as a Neutral race, not a Good race.)

A race such as the Untamed from PWI would also be nice, with a group split between heavy physical Barbarian and the ranged, debuffing, poisoning and pet summoning Venomancer.

I personally always see insects as a Sci Fi race myself, but it would still be cool to see them. On top of that, insects have been using ranged weaponry for quite some time now, and it would be interesting to see how they were depicted.

Dude never heard of the velvet worm but wow . Personally as cool as an insectoid race alway's is there have been many and will alway's be many more types like them to come. I would still like to see some more different type's of culture infleuenced races. Also it would be cool if there was a summoning race where most of the units are beastie's from a different realm to help them, the summoners fight.

My faction idea, which I am working on posting, is a horse-based faction. In this society, the better your horse and riding gear/armor, the higher your status. The workers would have no horses, the basic units some kind of pony, etc.

I havent read through the whole post yet but I will later but the thing I think would be awesome (although highly unlikely) is a dinosaur faction haha that'd be awesome. Another idea is maybe an animal faction with like bears tigers lions and such.

Since we already have a half-spider champion I would like to see a faction based around it

Though I love dinosaurs I am not sure they would fit into the game atleast in the form we normally see them in and not a lizard-man type form.

how about the highest horse is a Pegasus or maybe the solider will be fast but fragile
