Now i've played in the so called MOBA genre way before it became known as the MOBA genre, you might call it ARTS.
My gaming history includes Dota extensively starting in 2004 on ROC and then in 2006 i started playing an indie Dota type game called Darkness and Light, it was korean, needless to say that it ended badly not cause the game was bad but because of poor management, the CEO of the company embazzled 100000 of w/e currency they use in korea and filed bakruptzy and the came the abomination called Demigod. For a liitle while after that i had lost all hope in their ever being a stand alone version of a Dota type game.
Then came hope called League of Legends, the developers were very community oriented and between LOL and HON there was renewed faith in that Genre. Now ofcourse the genre is chok a block full of such games, we have Realm of the Titans, chinese based dota genre game, Rise of the Immortals by Petroglyph, Prime World a social networking spin off of the genre by a Russian developer named Nival and Dota 2 by Valve but all these games lack one thing, something I've wanted since back in the days of WC3.
A map that had 3 factions battling for control.
Yes, a 5v5v5 map, is that even possible? Have you guys played Footmen Frenzy in WC3 TFT, something similar and it is quite possible if carefully thought.
