Howdy. I'm the guy who takes the time to read every single post in here before I've made my own. Creepy? Maybe.

I'm a massively huge (figurativly, not physically) fantasy fan. I read a lot of fantasy books. The Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones to those who've only seen the show) is definately one of my favorites. I really want to watch the show, since I heard it was fairly accurate and well made. I like RPGs the most of all the genres of video games, although I am terribly picky. I won't play games like WoW because, to be frank, they look far too cartoony and seem to lack seriousness. I like the games like Dragon Age: Orgiins, Awakening, and II. Yes, I like II. Of course I dislike parts of it and don't claim it's perfect, but it's still awesome. The story, the life of Hawke, and the characters provide an excellent blend of humor and adventure. It's no Origins, but it's still fantastic. Plus, the Qunari were simply fantastic. I've played Skyrim for over 300 recorded hours (Steam didn't register the ones I played in offline mode), so that might tell of how much I enjoy it.

As to online gaming, I don't play much. I'm not big on the whole party system, mainly since I don't know anyone IRL who plays the games I've tried. So I decided to sorta fix that by making myself known on the forums, so when the game launches I could somewhat sorta know people, from the forums.

I also play RTSs. Age of Empires II was my first big game, and I've been smitten with the series ever since. SoaSE, of course, is another game I love. I obtained Total War: Shogun 2 for my birthday last year, and it is by far the best type of RTS I have played. Now if only I didn't suck at the campaign mode, maybe I could win for once. Plus, Fall of the Samurai was a brilliant expansion.

I'm 17 and attend High School in America. Nothing interesting there. Um. That's about it for now.

hi and welcome,
i'm a sucker for fantasy as well and i play a lot of rpg's too. i must say tho that da; origins hasnt got me immediatly, but that's probably because it was the first time i played an rpg which made me plan my party members move's during combat and pausing the game for it all the time. ive been playing neverwinternights 2 as of late and by then i got used to it a bit more (although ian on this forum told me #1 was better). skyrim is brilliant but to my mind the elder scrolls series still haven't beaten morrowind (part3 and my first in the series) and probably never will.
anyway welcome here and VERY glad to see u read ur posts first, i only read the newer ones when i joined.
ps, glad to beat ian to the welcome for once!

<had to cut down the quote somewhat sorry

Welcome to Sins of a Dark Age! :D being a big fantasy fan I am sure you will love the game!

I loved DA1 but I just liked DA2, if that makes sense.
Still need to start on the Skyrim story :D only stuff I did when i've played it is explore all over the place hehe.

Making yourself known on forums is always a start to making friends online with whom you can play with regardless wheither or not you are new to an already established forum or not.

I just recently re-bought Age of Mythology again to play with my friends and I just hope I can remember how to play it again haha

Well, some of you know me a little already, but I'm Winston/Ijiot/FleurDeMur, 15. I live in central Illinois in the US, and I like marching band, music, PC games, and console games. I was actually looking for a creative hybrid on RTS and MOBA for a few months before I heard about this, and if the glove fits...

Looking forward to seeing you guys on the field!

Hello SoaDA people! I've been a long time fan of RTS and RPG games. Played a lot of Age of Mythology, Dawn of War I and II, Company of Heros and Sins of a Solar Empire. On the more MOBA side, I really liked DemiGod - I loved the art direction in that much more than most MOBA/DOTA games and so like how things are looking for this title as well. In Dawn of War II and Sins I really got more into the team aspect of RTS, usually floating around the top 50 for DoWII players in 2v2 and 3v3 so I have a feeling the blend and dynamic for SoaDA will appeal to me a lot. Other than gaming I like kayaking and DJing whenever a chance presents itself. Hope to see you in-game at some point!

Welcome to the forums Ekko Tek :D
Have to say that your taste in RTS Games is pretty good!
I started to play alot of Age of Empires Online recently and my friend wanted to play Age of Mythology again so I had to re-buy it and I have to say: it's quite weird playing it now haha
I haven't played DemiGod but I heard people only picked the same Demigods time and time again which ruined the game.
Have you got around to playing SoaSE: Rebellion yet?

:D I try to be unlike most other forumgoers in LoL, where they post "screw you" or "i love this idea" all the time. It always frustrates me when someone gives an opinion and doesn't leave any reasons behind their opinion. Since it frustrates me, I figured it frustrates others. I'm glad I haven't been TOO annoying :P

Ahh same here! I was playing the Advent Loyalists yesterday and found out their Titan has the head of a Vasari! no idea why but it is there :P
The Rebel titan sort-of has a body too (head, legs, torso but no arms)
The only Vasari Titan I have seen looks alot like the Ahwassa bomber from SupCom: Forged Alliance ^_^

Ahhh I am guilty of doing that a few times (the "I love this idea" with no reasoning) but mostly because everything has been said as to why I would love it and I don't need to say anything more as it would be pointless :)
Haven't been annoying? true! but still plenty of time baha :P

XD I figured all my post spamming (actually ran out of posts for a while there, wouldn't let me post anything) might have annoyed a few people. Good to know I can spam away in the future :P

Honestly, the first rpg game i can remember playing was champions of Norrath: Realms of Everquest. a very fun game, and very gory. Soon, after i remember champions: call to arms, and from there, my love of rpg and fantasy took off. If you ever need to know anything about Drizzt Do 'Urden (dungeons and dragons), just let me know, as ive currently read the about 20 books that are focused on him, and can recall events from almost all of them. I play alot of xbox,  and can hold my own in MW3 or any of the other games i own, and i normally come out on top in Assassin's Creed: Revelations. If anyone wants to hit me up for a few games of MW3, or w/e i got lol, just message me here, and ill try to get with you =)
note: i spend alot of time on forums, so looking forward to having conversations with many of you =)

Hi, I'm a long time gamer as well as a big fan of Sins of a Solar Empire. From the looks of what I've seen about this game, it should be an awsome experience to play.  The game macanic, Commander and Hero style interaction between players, should present some interesting challenges.
