As we all know at GDC is where the game really debuts, in your best dreams, what would you love to see the game look like in all capacities of the words look like?

I'm most curious to see how this tantalizing concept art takes form in their game scape. See the scope of the game world, I'm hoping for plenty of room for expansion but something solid to take to heart with.

Next I'd like to see the real PVE coop content they have in mind, if its a hero/tower defense deal or something more akin to playing a normal match against bots. Or both! I'm a big fan of defensive strategem missions so its what I'm hoping for, at least as part of the content.

I am really excited to see the gameplay too and see howmuch of an RTS or MOBA it is :D

I think COOP is just a normal PvP match but with bots instead. nothing special.

Ian, it's a casual RTS.

I know what they said it was BUT that doesn't exactly tell me what or how it would play while in action. for all I know it might be really so close to LoL, Dota and any other MOBA games OR it could be an RTS with 4 player hero classes each side.

Armies, base building, collecting resources — LoL obviously doesn't have that. Let's not play dumb.

And lets not troll.  For that matters lets not be stupid and let this turn into demigod or even any other game. Why? This is not a causal RTS, its interested the MOBA community which means its going too bring a competitive aspect, if the game is pure causal play, I am out. So yes if the game play is hey you have one button too attack and two buttons for specials and nothing special about skills then yea I am out, I will drop the game so fast.

World of Warcraft - Mage class, Arcane specialization - Boss fight skill rotation - 1 1 1 2 1 1 1 2 3 1 1 1 2 1 1 1 2 3...

I wouldn't go that far. Not the old WoW, anyway. There were a couple of classes that took real skill. But now, no. None of them. It's just all faceroll. The last time I played WoW was a few weeks ago- I'd finally gotten myself ready to do the final raid of this expansion, Deathwing. I queued up for the Raid Finder, waited...
Joined.
Had no idea how any of the fight mechanics worked.
Stood around looking clueless for large quanitites of time.
Followed the group when I didn't know where to go.
Killed every boss on the first go. Had to battle rez the tank myself once, and I wasn't even a healer. I was melee dps. With a battle resurrection.
Finally killed Deathwing.
...
Nothing in my entire life has ever felt so anticlimactic. I joined the raid expecting to die repeatedly until I learned how it worked. I expected to have to put in some effort, to push myself, to know what the hell was going on around me.
Nope. I didn't know what I was doing.
Killed Deathwing. Logged out. Never logged back in.

Oh yea old school WoW, roll rouge 1 2 3 4 1...target dead..stealth off.

Wow in 2005 required some skill at least. A nice balance pre Burning Crusade, nothing too bad really, maybe a bit here and there but it was within reason.

Burning Crusade, warlock mark and run...target dead..

Wrath of the Lich King, death knight grip pull done...Patched, Hunter auto attack and walk away...

Cata, Druid DPS and out deal any other healer and heal more any DPS can manage in the game. Nuke the tankest tanks...Tank the hardest things solo..Yep, thats all the skill WoW required so I quit with Cata.. So pretty much 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 till whatever it is is dead.

The majority of the four and a half years I played WoW, I was an Arms warrior all the way. 1 to 70. Picked up tanking after I hit Northrend when Wrath came out...
Yeah. A good Arms warrior took skill. Then, when the truly skilled Arms warriors were beating the living hell out of the faceroll classes, they started nerfing us. Nearly every patch. Now, at 85, I haven't even looked at my Arms warrior in almost a year. :( Got a DK and mage to 85 just to experience content. And while some of the stuff was interesting, it was just all too easy.

Wow...I wish I had played whatever version of WoW you were playing because when I tried to solo as a paladin back in '07 it was literally:
*slash boar with sword*
*get goared by boar*
*slash boar with sword*
*get headbutted by boar*
*Ian died*
"ffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuu"
several hundred times.

I got to level 8 and just gave up, it became wayyy too hard for me to solo and none of the other races interested me. There were also no-one around to team with.

Yeah... We're talking end-game. I don't even remember what skills a level 8 paladin would have. There would be holy light and judgment of light, I think. Holy Light is a heal, Judgment would be an offensive ranged attack that applies a debuff to your target based on what Seal you were using. And if you were being killed by a level 8 boar at any level over five... You're clearly doing something wrong. o.o I didn't have my first death until I was level 20.. And that was walking through Arathi Highlands to reach Shadowfang Keep. I kept being om nommed by the lvl 30+ raptors.

Oh no, didn't i make it clear? the boar was level 5! haha. It's probably changed so much now and I don't remember ever having a debuff and the heal wasn't self-usable.
The experience was enough to put me off it for life and I honestly didn't see anything special about it at all especially compared to Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising at the time (it was still decent back then and not out of date)

Yes, but this is Iron clads first attempt at a tottaly diferent genre and theme: a long time ago in a land far far away a company called GPG made a game called Demigod, they had successful games before that called Total Annihalation and Supreme Commander, so they thought they would make a stand alone Dota genre game called Demigod but they had horrible netcoding and mismanaged client/server protocols not to mention a system run on a peer to peer network and no localised servers and then the game flopped.

Hi, Ironclad you ready to learn from other developers mistakes?

Yeah... We're talking end-game.

I hate to say it but if you are claiming your LFR experiance was "End game" and boring... well you are selling the real end game short.
Looking for Raid is easy mode for casuals so they can see "End game content". However they are most definatly not actually DOING end game content. Comparing Normal to LFR is like comparing Heroic to Normal. And not to sound elitist the Heroic modes are the real end game content. Once upon a time I was able to do that stuff but now adays.. well I'm happy to still be clearing Normal raid instances in 25s and doing the more challenging stuff in 10 man when I have time.

On the other hand the harder content takes alot of time to gear for, a regular group of people to play with and prep work, which isn't for everyone. Even so once the gear gap is overcome and after many many many many wipes and practice a good crew can make hard encounters feel easy. But throw even only one "FNG" into the formula and you are back to dying.

Yes I realize I have commited a falicy of the internet opinon argument, so I'll make the most important point of any game regardless of how good or bad it is. If you enjoy it, play it. If you don't, regardless of reason, don't. After all that's why we are here right?

But enough world of warcraft babble, back on topic, hopfully there are enough good models for networks for Ironclad to give us a sucessful play experiance online. If they don't we simply harp on it and hope they listen to feedback.

Okay, but really. How much longer do we need to wait to see this footage? GDC day 1 is already done!
