Just curious what people out there are watching because I expect to get a lot of feedback with some SCI-FI suggestion...myself I'm a huge fan of the following shows.  Oddly, there is not much sci-fi in there even though I would say that's one of my favourite genres

The Wire - hands down the best show I have ever seen.  On the outside its a typical cop show, but once you get into it you slowly start to realize its not really about the cops but delves into a world of politics, poverty, corruption, education and bureaucracy.  It goes into the lives of some of the most interesting and unlikely characters I have ever seen and not one word or one scene is wasted as filler.

The game of thrones - Just can't wait for season 2 to come out.  Its another show where the characters become more important that the plot itself (which btw is amazing).  You know that there is something "magical" about the world, but yet it never overdoes it as to make it unbelievable.

Battlestar Galactica - Well, I know you all know this show, so I won't mention more.

Ill leave it to you guys to list more :)

Yeah, I like a lot of different types of shows so be prepared for a barrage

Mythbusters-I don't believe I need to explain what this one is. I'm a science and mathematics person  and all the projects the Mythbusters do: I find super interesting.

Merlin-  this show is another take on the Arthurian Legends where Merlin a wizard in training and is also a servant to prince Arthur in a time which magic was hunted out and destroyed. I love this show because of the medieval atmosphere (fyi medieval Europe was my favorite time period) and because it was not another copy of the same old King Aurthur legend.

IGPX- a little known anime show about a fictional sport of racing battlemechs around a course at about 350mph. This show is alternates between great character development and intense racing/battle sequences. I am particularly into this show because its characters feel realistic and not too pushed into stereotypical characteristics and it was the show that started me on the track of watching other anime shows such as Bleach, Durarara, and Full Metal Alchemist.

I haven't been a fan of sci-fi shows that much but I can point out some amazing sci-fi books for those interested: The Old Man's War (John Scalzi) , The Prefect (Alistar Reynolds), and Ender's Game (Orson Scott Card).... sorry for off topic...

Also, on a side note, I have never really actually seen or read any of the Game of Thrones episodes or books. Weirdly enough it just doesn't look all that interesting to me...

It's a shame the original show runner of The Walking Dead is no longer with the team as it gone really slow since they stayed onto the farm for the entire series nevermind actually making the difference between the show and the comic books even larger by killing of key characters that lived for so long in the comics.

I'm not much of T.V. watcher either and including live action shows. I'm more of a cartoon fellow and I admit that the cartoons I like are. Samarii Jack, Avatar: the last airbender( still haven't watched the movie but heard it was bad anyway), and zoids.

Definitely a fan of cartoons, especially that old school Cartoon Network lineup. :nods:

Here's a quick list:

Community
Game of Thrones
Lie To Me
Firefly (obviously)
Stargate SG-1
Archer
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (both the new one and the Tartaskovsky stuff)
The Universe
How the Universe Works
Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman

I'm also a fan of Military shows and other historical documentaries. Those are always a good watch =^^=

*Edit: How could I forget MLP: FiM!?!?!

Most of those are very fecking awesome :D
No idea what Archer is though

I don't tend to watch most documentaries about our universe because I always get lost in the science of what they are talking about...most times atleast :(

Military shows eh? ever watched Generation Kill? I started watching it awhile ago and only got halfway into the series. was pretty awesome though!

And you forgot about MLP?! shame on you! don't let Pinkie Pie know or she will go crazy :P

Its a rather mature thing that comes on at roughly at night, that is a cartoon thingy sort of. It is rather comical.

The Walking Dead is great drama, but their really is no reason for zombies in the show.

Ohhh like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021 and The Venture Brothers? (all are awesome)

That is why it is called The Walking Dead :P it's based on the comics of the same name although since Frank Darabont got kicked off by the network it has really really changed alot of the stuff and is only very loosly based on the comics now

No not like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, the appoach is a real "mature" rather then pertaining too "adult".

Also we could go over and over again about The Walking Dead, all I am going too say is its marketed as something it is not.

Archer is a show that's done in a very 50's art style and chronicles the misadventures of ISIS Secret Agent Sterling Archer, AKA "Duchess." It has a lot of situational humor, dry humor, and mature content. It's very funny!

I get a little lost in the science, especially when they start hitting on the more advanced concepts, but the shows are tailored to appeal to viewers that are not doctorial candidates for astrophysics =^^=;;;

Generation Kill...I'll take a look-see on the Netflix and see if I can watch an episode or two!

As long as I don't break a Pinkie Promise, I think I'll be alright =^^= :brohoof:

My uncle has the graphic novels for The Walking Dead. I'mma look into borrowing those before watching the show.

Yeah the 2nd series wasn't as good as the first series though the last episodes of Season 2 were awesome :P

Ahhh i'll check it out later and see if I like it :)

Generation Kill was described as "a modern day Rome" when it was released if that is anything to go by ^_^
haha true, true *brohoof* :)

The comics are vastly different (but alot better apparently) than the TV show
