Mandrake = sort-of Amumu (not me who described him like that)
Sapper = can put oil down for other heroes to ignite
"kingpin" zombie-esque guy
edit: to carry on what I was talking about
Mandrake "Thanatos" (correct me if I am wrong here):
The plant-based “mandrake” hero I played was a tank, who functions similarly to LoL’s Amumu.
- Using mandrake’s skillshot, a good player can snag enemy heroes with a vine, dragging them right into his melee range.
- Then once they’re close he can stun them with a powerful hit and
- use a thorns ability that deals damage over time to anyone standing close to him.
- his ultimate ability, spurting out a pool of sap that rapidly heals him while also slowing enemies in the area.
He worked especially well with characters like the trickster, a fairy-like unit that can grow friendly units and shrink enemies, as well as deal some damage
The fairy (trickster) can
cast "shield bombs" and make "Mandrake survive forever"
"enlarge allies into a giant or shrink enemies"
her ultimate "can levitate all units in an area and then slam them down"
Sapper "oodle":
"gigantic fire spell that is great for pushes"
"lay down tar patches"
The commander:
Can choose which way he wants to support his team by being more military (more units available to create) or he can focus on "Realm Powers" such as "battle armour" and "heal"
Mandrake "Thanatos" (correct me if I am wrong here):
how did thanatos get into this?

i think that was a statement regarding her increasing a tank in size and then casting the shield, making him "last forever", at least that was my interpretation.
During one of the footage you can see a large creature with tendrils flinging all over the place and his skills match what was described so I presume that is Mandrake and the one I had seen had "Thanatos" over it's head be it the name of the player or the name of the champion/hero I have no idea but I put in "Thanatos" so that if people see that footage you can see the creature I was talking about.
As for the 2nd part, My interpretation was that she was a support character who could make Tanks really tough (with shields and enlargment) but could also debuff the enemy so that they do less damage (being the size of a Smurf would somewhat hinder your damage) thus make your ally live longer.
Bringing this thread back so new people can find out about what we know about the champions and to suggest my own
Those of you who have recently read the Faction thread already have an idea what I will be suggesting.
Ok, so, are you ready?! now just think about it: A walking. suit. of armour! I KNOW RIGHT!
His name would be Cuirass (you can figure out why I named him that) and I was thinking of him either being a tank or a DPS/Fighter (I have suggested 2 ability sets to reflect each one)
For the Tank class he would have a square shield (Much like what the Roman's used) aswell as a long/Bastard Sword
Ability 1 - Shield Bash - hit the enemy in the face for extra damage (increasing per level) and Dazing the enemy for a brief duration (1 second at first rank)
Ability 2 - Taunt - Taunt's a selected enemy into attacking you (1 second at rank 1 with each rank increasing duration)
Ability 3 - Charge - You raise your shield up infront of you and charge forward stunning the first enemy who get's hit for (1 second increasing in duration and damage per rank)
Ability 4/Ultimate - Defense of the Ancients - Target an Ally or yourself for 2 seconds granting them immunity from all crowd control effect's and reduce damage by 50% (Duration increases with each rank, damage reduction does not increase)
For the DPS/Fighter then he would have 2 Long/Bastard swords:
Ability 1 - Couple de Jarnac - Cripple the target causing them to be slowed and amplify the damage taken from the player
Ability 2 - Cleave - Your next auto-attack will deal bonus damage
Ability 3 - Blade Storm - You spin your blades around you for 4 seconds at rank 1( increasing in duration and damage each rank) unable to auto attack while performing but able to cancel after a 1 second cooldown - see at the bottom of the post for a visual example
Ability 4/Ult - Coup De Main - Leap at the target with your swords pointing downwards for the killing blow dealing bonus damage based on the missing health points of the target (example: target has a total of 1000 health and he only has 250 when you launch the attack, you will deal 750 bonus damage)
As for the lore or backstory I have no idea I wanted to suggest a type of hero with abilities, the lore can easily be changed to fit whatever it needs to be in the game and if you want you can create a backstory for it.
Also, sorry for the lack of good names on some of the abilities, it is somewhat late and half of my brain has gone to sleep to think of names fitting the abilities.
That was a good idea, I somehow missed that topic, so thanks Ian for bringing it back.
Walking suit of armor? Hmmm... what if it would be, let's say a steel elemental (I know steel is no element, but we are already taking a step beyond:P). We could alter one or two of his abilities to have something to do with altering weapons/armour etc. It's just a suggestion.
Also I can draw him if you want. I am just a humble hobbyist, but I will do my best.

SO MUCH STUN.
I think that could get really OP really fast if the stuns scaled with ability rank, you could potentially stop someone from doing anything for 5-8 seconds with just one heroes abilities.
With the "daze" I shoulden't have included the increased stun duration but the cooldown woulden't be a long one (around 10 seconds at rank 1)
With the Charge ability after thinking about it I would also remove the increase in stun duration as you have pointed out, 2 stuns on 1 character is quite OP so to balance it out the stun should have a low duration since you could potentially keep them in position for a long time already

I am actually loving the idea of a crab-themed hero/champion!
And I am sure I can do that if need be but chances are I probably have to yet
Oh yeah, I did do one of them already in this thead ( http://www.sinsofada...ndpost__p__3828 )
BUT it is outdated and I haven't updated it with any new knowledge on the heroes since I am not aware if they have released any more info on the Heroes except concept art (such as for the Morale Chief)
