Hi, i read this game would be focused in 5 vs 5. Is it?

I hate teamplay and i want to play 1 vs 1 matches, I hope the main mode is 1 vs 1.

thanks.

Well one as yourself can dream, right?

From my knowledge RTS games are mainly individual games, where some focus on teamplay.  Whereas MOBA games are heavily teamplay.  Yes there is the 1v1 challenge battles but the game shines with a team of players. I believe the RTS portion of this game is to influence, direct, and augment the MOBA portion.  So to answer your question, this game is leaning more towards teamplay.  Sorry, man.

Even though I have no idea why you hate teamplay you could always create custom matches to have 1v1 games (presuming they will have that function)

Not entirely sure how that would work without the Commander getting gold for the Heroes since then you might aswell be playing a normal RTS game if you are just Commander versus Commander.

I hate teamplay because I win almost all my matches in rts games like starcraft 2 or age of empires, however I win only 50% in mobas because people destroy the match.

You know why that is because there is no "I" in "Team", so that brings us to another point: games involving teams are that much harder.

No...

Starcraft 2 is harder than heroes of newerth or league of legends.

Are you sure sure?  I know that us RTS players have to be pretty good at Micro/Macro management but the strategy behind a MOBA game requires far more effort than an RTS.

Coolmiyo, you sound like you like to be in control of the game.  In MOBA games you will find it very hard to do that unless you have "earned" the ability to.
On the other hand, if someone with this outlook, and without the charisma to corral the team together, becomes the "leader" of the team, people just like to troll or not listen to that single individual.  Leaders have to be able to not only satisfy their needs, but the needs of others, in what ever form it might be (honor, trust, experience, knowledge, etc.).

Coolmiyo, it seems that everyone who is active on this forum has achieved, to a point, mastery of whatever game background they come from.  Most of them are LoL players. I myself, HoN. You on the other hand come from an RTS background. The most interesting thing about this game is how it will blend our personal mastered abilities together.

Welcome to the forums Coolmiyo, and I hope that you still consider this an interesting game.  I would find it interesting to play a game or two with you.

Most people in this thread have a point, this will be a team game and you will be most likely expected to help and support your team.

Well you would be a very small minority :P

1v1 would not be as fun because you woulden't even be able to play the game as it should be. If you are a commander than you lack the ability and power of the heroes and if you are a hero you lack the gold and income of the commander to get your items to make you reach your prime in power.

1v1 would just need control of hero units and commander stuff merged onto the same UI so you are controlling both. I'm curious if that would all be more taxing than a traditional RTS or not. But I get that that is not what they are going for with this title. I don't see why they couldn't allow the option though and then see how popular/unpopular it is. Personally I have the feeling that the design will make a team approach more fun in this case.

If people want to do that then I really see no difference between this, if it had the option, and Warcraft 3 where you can pick heroes to fight for you aswell.

I can't imagine that a 1v1 mode would be very popular or practical. 1v1 it's competing against every other RTS out there, 5v5 is something new that brings RTS and MOBA players into the mix.

I have friends that play one genre but not the other, which gets rather bothersome when we try to decide on something to do. We've discussed on many occasions our hopes for a MOBA game that had an overlaying RTS aspect to it. (Or a FPS, but that's for another discussion)

Definitely looking forward to the dynamic this brings to playing as a team.
