I play LoL a lot and found out about this game today. we have a large community of players here. how would it be possible to join the testing? as the idea of this game seems really cool.

Lets not do what dota did with WC3 bugs and glitches and incorporate it into SOADA...

Somethings are inherently not viable in certain types of games...

If only that were true for 99% of the gaming community...

For most, beta is getting a free demo of the game. They don't understand that finding, and more importantly, reporting the bugs you find along with repro steps, is the whole point of a beta.

Sure, some of it is generating buzz for the game, but from a software standpoint it's bug finding and polish.

On the flipside, many games developers don't grok that either. And don't make it easy for players to report bugs found. It's more work, but making it easy in game to report a bug found, and/or even an easy one-click button to send in a crash report when the client exits unexpectedly is huge and often not done. Those are the cases when I think even the developer is confused about what a beta means. (not that I think you guys are, I just have seen it before)

I'll certainly be sticking around to watch this game closely. I keep thinking I enjoy this style of game, but every time I boot up League of Legends...eh...I have a good game 1 out of 10 times, the other 9 are just awful. I'm hoping that this game will continue to have a great community and that the strategic level given by the Commander will add an element to keep things fresh.

One does not simply get a beta key.

If one does not get a beta key then how will you have testing???what do  you have to buy the keys? i hope this game is nothing like LoL style...

What he means is that if one posts positivly on the forums one will receive a greater chance to get a key during summer beta. Man, I bet that that info has been typed so many times that it could fit on a 8 by 11 piece of paper.

.... Woah Kenshin... Calm down buddy.  I read your posts and skimmed everyone else's to try and figure out your problem.  I believe the only question you have asked is how someone can retain a beta key for beta testing/bug killing time.  The best way and mainly only indication so far is to be active on the forum.  Come in, make friends, give feed back, and the like.  And just hope that you will get one.  Hope this answers your question.  Let me know if you have more and welcome.
