The key to good slang is that we all understand it and others don't:

Soda Commander has a nice ring to it. That would make the others Soda Champions.

We could shorten that to SodaComs and SodaChamps for forum use.

I disagree soda commander and soda champions just sounds long and unorginal.(no offense meant). Even the shorten versions are long and unorginal. And this game desperatly needs things that set it apart from LoL or other MOBA's. I admit I still have no clue what to call the champions but we could call the commanders avatars, meaning a phyiscal representation of a deity of some sort or another.

Perhaps overseers/overlords for commanders and controllers/handlers for the hero controlled players?  I doubt sinners or saints would make sense since I doubt the game is related to those terms at all besides the name.

we could call all heroes; sinners and all commanders; saints because it is ['Sins of a Dark Age']

Yeah im with Murdeoc here, regardless of what they will be called I am just going to carry on calling them "players" "commanders" "champions" "enemy" and "dead people"

Im playing lol a lot and that thing of calling us "summoners"... meh, i find it very cheesy.

I dont like LoL´s lore overall, and calling me a "summoner" its like some guy from cartoon network were talking to me :S

And Sinner sounds so sexy, yeah.

as far as i know, summoners is only used by riotgames ppl, like in the art spotlight vids or on fb... other than that, i dont know what lol players are called - im guessing leaguers...

as for the name of ppl who play soada, sinners or dark agers (as was mentioned already) is the most logical. making up a name out of the blue - like destroyers or overlords or conquerors or whatever - just doesn't make much sense to me

I'm in the boat of just calling us players or gamers. The only reason LoL calls themselves summoners is because thats what the game calls you/the lore calls for, but really I don't care very much either way.

i am me and my allies are allies the commander should be commander and the enemy i'am just going to kill. i think this is a stable plan anyone have any problems with it.
