Love the concept. I've written previously on the concept of 'pushing' as a game mechanic in MOBAs and am glad to see a company take advantage of this area of gameplay (which is currently non-existant in the MOBA genre). I'm a longtime DOTA, LoL, and HoN player and am thrilled to see an upcoming game featuring an RTS style of play. Not sure if anyone remembers Cerebrum Wars from the original SC, but that's what I'm picturing when I think of this game.

Anyways, kudos to your team and looking forward to partaking in this community and game.

I like this kind of mixtures.

Nuclear dawn is an example of a good FPS-RTS melting experience. And well, playing Sins of a Solar Empire gives me the confidence that this game will be something AWSOME! : D

Nice to have you on board idyemyhairbrown and Vatticson.  Thanks for your support - it sounds like you know the MOBA space well.
So far we've been hesitant to put a label on the genre. The game doesn't feel like an arena, 'action-RTS' fails to describe the important commander role and 'RTS' doesn't do justice to our heros. We've been using the phase 'Hero and Commander Strategy' but we'll see what sticks. The experience is new and ultimately people just need to try it out :)

Also have played DotA/HoN/LoL for years, 7 or 8 total now, and am a huge fan of the genre.  With that said I'm very glad to see someone trying to add something new to it.  My favorite types of games are those that are willing to step outside of the norm in terms of gameplay, mixing elements together creates a much more replayable experience, and leads to very, very fun scrims.  It's also great that the commander offers people with different skillsets a place on your team.  Reading about this game made me think of Savage 2 matches, and how one of my friends couldn't really keep up with the fast paced combat, but he still got to have a great time playing because he thoroughly enjoyed leading as Commander.

This game definitely has my attention!

The new RTS feature really sets the game apart from other MOBA titles. Can't wait to try the game out myself~!
