Is registering on the website enough to be eligible for beta entry when it opens? Or will there be an additional signup closer to the beta start?

I'm quite interested in this as well, would definately be looking into a beta for this. Seems very intrueging and interesting conceptwise.

The beta starts this summer. AFAIK, registering here signs you up for a chance to get in the beta.

I think that we can know something about it soon.
The most important is that game is very interesting.

Wait? A chance? It's not an open beta?

"Register at sinsofadarkage.com and you may be selected for one of the upcoming phases." - Taken from the support page. I assume by registering we'll get a 'chance' for beta entry.

Dang. This makes me disappoint...

EDIT: So I suppose it's a little early to start advertising on League of Legends then. I really want to get a good sized community involved in this thing

Most games start with a closed beta and move on to an open beta later.

So who do I need to send the check to to get into the closed beta?

lol I don't know. But they should definitely have something you can buy to get guaranteed beta access, like what SoaSE did and what Tribes Ascend is doing.

Yeah I guess the problem is you can't really pre-order since it's free to play. But I would totally pay $50 to get in the beta. I would even pay more if I could get credit for it when the ingame store comes online. That would be a lot like a preorder.

This is what I meant. I know that Tribes Ascend does this, in the form of in-game credits and a "VIP boost" that lets you earn in-game credits and XP faster.

I really want to play now. Where are the ironclad studios so I can sneak in? Or maybe they're looking for developers.

Actually no, why would it be too early?! the earlier development = more people can contribute = more ideas =  increased chance that ideas get implemented before it's too late (post-launch) = more people can contribute = more ideas.

I was thinking of posting stuff regarding this game on the LoL forums aswell (EUW forums)

It's always a crapshoot as to whether anyone gets in to a Beta like this, but hey, here's hoping...

Take part and be a constructive part of the community if you really want in so bad. You can get into beta a lot easier when they see you taking an interest giving feed back, and providing a positive element too the community. . So, yes I do believe if you can be active and contribute. They want someone who is going to contribute, report bugs, give feedback on balance, ect ect. Activity in this forum will display your interest in that.
