Email confirmation for changing password and email

04 November 2012 - 02:09 PM

In the last 2 months I have been hacked twice on the Primal Carnage forum's and since the support on their forum's is as usefull as throwing a potato at a brickwall I have come here to heavily suggest that:

You incorporate email confirmation when you wish to change your email address and password.

Since the Primal Carnage forum's do not include that at all I had no idea I was hacked and with it I would've been able to stop the hackers and securely protect my account.

I really do not wish to see a repeat with any more of my accounts, especially this one.

Dark Knight Rises - Thoughts - will include spoilers

20 July 2012 - 02:46 PM

So, I went to the 2nd viewing of it this morning (9:30am) and I have to say I am a bit dissapointed with the film.

Acting was all great, Anne and Hardy did a great job for their characters and I really enjoyed watching them.

I was pleasently surprised with how civil Bane was a few times in the movie be it about a kid's singing voice or actually just being nice to people.

There are so many good parts of the movie for me to mention so I am only going to mention a few of them:
-The twists in the last 40 minutes of the film I didn't see coming at all especially with Miranda and Blake but Gordon needed much more screen time than he was given, same with Alfred.
- Surprised to see Scarecrow again though, would've been good to see him in his mask scaring people even if it was for a few seconds in the background.
-The action scenes were pretty damn good when they happened ( especially the cop chase and The Bat scenes)
- A very minor point but it was good to see Teal'c back on screen
-The ending was mostly amazing (will come back to this later)

Now the parts with it I was dissapointed with:
-Several plot holes such as how Wayne got into gotham somehow undetected just after getting out of the prison
- How quickly his back healed within 5 months while it required him so much longer to the point he got someone else to take over for him
-I wish they stuck with the original story of the film which meant that Havery Dent was the main villain:

"The original story treatment by David S. Goyer was to have Two-Face as the principle antagonist for the film. Initially, at the end of The Dark Knight, The Joker would have scarred Harvey Dent at a courtroom trial, setting up the third film. Dent's death and fall at the end of the second film was put in instead as setting up on the scenario of the relationship (being the backbone of the story) between him and Batman broken and in the aftermath that follows"

- I didn't like how Alfred just dissapeared for half the film, surely he would've helped when Gotham was under Bane's control, right?
- The final thing (as I briefly mentioned before regarding the end of the film) I didn't like was how they got Blake to essentially become Robin discovering the cave and how the house itself became an orphanage (how is Batman and Robin supposed to continue when they don't even own the house anymore? nevermind that Bruce Wayne faked his death)

Overall I would watch it again without a doubt but it had impossibly high expectations since it had to try and better The Dark Knight which is a really hard task given how great that film is.

One more thing, I am not sure what to make of the new Superman. Probably going to be another trilogy like Nolan's Batman (since Nolan wrote the new Superman) but..yeah, mixed feelings on the teaser trailer.

Legends of Pegasus - new 4X game

03 July 2012 - 05:23 AM

Hey guys,

I only learned about this game as it came up on Steam under the "coming soon" section (slated for a July 26th release)

It is a 4X game with RPG elements and has HIGHLY customisable ships aswell as planets.

http://store.steampo...com/app/205590/ - steam page (obivous)

http://www.legendsof...s.com/en/media/ < the teasers cracked me up after the awesome footage "Forget your Sins, become a Legend" haha, I like that little dig at SoaSE :D

http://worthplaying....previews/85145/ - Article on the game

http://uk.pc.gamespy.../1223375p1.html - Another article

Those are the only articles on the game I could find but so far I have found out about:

2-player coop
40-hour Story
Multiplayer mode
Highly customisable ships + planets - turn your mothership into a Carrier like the Battlestar if you so wish
Real-time terraforming (see the planets changing shape, storms ravage the planet, sea's rise up etc)
Mix of RTS and TBS - Turn based gameplay but real-time battles so the galaxy map would be turned based but fighting would be like Sins but involving formations
Larger ships cannot target smaller ships due to the smaller ships being more agile so a mix of ship classes would be ideal

I don't know why but I am really interested in this title despite playing Endless Space.
Thing is, I love most of the features and the story is icing on the cake but I am not entirely sure about just having 3 races to pick from yet Endless Space has triple the amount of races playable.

But unlike Endless Space the combat in this game looks really good!

Anyone else heard of this game or is interested in it?
